Should you pursue the "An Ancient Race" questline before finding the shrine, you may be lost as to where you have to go next. Hidden deep within the side of a mountain, the Mysterious Shrine is home to one of the many side quests available in Sable. The Mysterious Shrine is a tricky place to find. Sure, everyone has seen the Wyrm, but we’d hazard a guess that few have been to the very top. You’ll need a lot of stamina to reach it, but the secrets hidden inside are worth the climb.
It sounds gross, we know, but there is actually something up there. However, what most players will likely miss is what is hidden within the Wyrm’s mouth. It is quite literally a giant sand Wyrm - not unlike those freaky things from Dune with all the teeth - jutting out of the sand. The thing is, the Wyrm itself isn’t particularly hard to miss. What is it? How did it die? Where are the rest of its kind? All of these questions and more make it an alluring location for players to explore. Take for example the Wyrm, a giant dead creature whose lifeless body remains upright in the desert.
THE HIDDEN FACE FULL
Each aspect of its intricately designed world is full of vague details and hidden secrets that build to create a mostly coherent picture, but that don’t reveal everything.
The world of Sable is shrouded in mystery from the moment you begin, all the way to the credits. So, if you’ve got the time, head on over there and see what secrets lie beyond the face. It also happens to be on the other side of the bridge from where Elisabet is hanging out, which is where most players will likely head first. It is incredibly easy to overlook this puzzle, especially if you’re not particularly inquisitive in this area. Once it has, the swords of the knights will cast a shadow over the face and unlock it. Venturing over there will reveal a face puzzle that requires you to stand on a podium and wait for the sun to rise to a certain point. Should you head on over to this statue, you may notice a secret passageway hidden behind. Instead, it’s two knights, one who unfortunately has the high ground while the other sneaks from below. Well, we wish it was them, but unfortunately, Sable isn’t set in the Star Wars universe. Once you’re up there, your attention may be diverted to the enormous statue of Obi-Wan and Anakin fighting. However, reaching the top and looking out across the rocky desert is a uniquely mesmerizing experience. It towers over practically everything else, making it a seriously difficult climb, especially for players with little stamina. The Bridge of the Betrayed is a truly phenomenal location in Sable.
